Embark on your safari adventure as we pick you up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam or the airport. Our journey to Mikumi National Park begins along the scenic Dar es Salaam – Morogoro highway, flanked by the majestic Uluguru Mountains of the Ancient Eastern Arc Mountains to the East and the dramatic Great Rift Valley Escarpments to the park’s southwest.
Approximately 4 to 4.5 hours later, we’ll arrive at Mikumi, not far from Dar es Salaam, thanks to the well-maintained tarmac road. Upon arrival around noon, we’ll dive straight into the safari experience with exhilarating game drives around the park, enjoying a packed lunch at a picturesque picnic site. Later in the afternoon, we’ll head to Camp Bastian, our accommodation just outside Mikumi National Park’s boundaries, offering all the amenities of a luxury lodge.
Camp Bastian boasts beautiful gardens and a refreshing swimming pool, providing a perfect respite from the African sun during the dry season. Enjoy lunch and dinner at the camp, included in your package.
