Day 1

Arrival in Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), our dedicated airport representative will warmly welcome you. You’ll be transferred to Tulia Hotel or Mount Meru Hotel  for an overnight stay in Arusha, providing the perfect base to commence your safari adventure. Enjoy the lush gardens and a delicious meal, with a spectacular view of Mount Meru. Rest early for the exciting safari itinerary starting the next morning. Day 2

Arusha to Momela Gate, Meriakamba Hut

Altitude: 1,387 m (4,921ft) – 1,500 m (3,000ft)

Hiking distance: 10 km

Hiking time: 4-6 hours

Habitat: Montane Forest

After breakfast, embark on a journey to Momela Gate via Arusha town. Enjoy tea, coffee, and snacks at the gate before setting off with an armed ranger escort. Witness wildlife such as elephants, zebras, and giraffes along the way. Reach Meriakamba Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Meriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut

Altitude: 2,514 m (8,250ft) – 3,570 m (11,712ft)

Hiking distance: 8 km

Hiking time: 3–5 hours

Habitat: Forest and Moorland

Begin early from Meriakamba Hut, trekking to the saddle below Little Meru. Revel in the spectacular views of the Meru Crater and the Ash Cone. Enjoy a hot lunch at Saddle Hut, and consider a short climb to the summit of Little Meru for breathtaking sunset views. Experience a colder night at this exposed camp.

Day 4

Saddle Hut to Summit Attempt to Momella Gate

Altitude: 3,570 m (11,712ft) to 4,565m (14,977ft) to 2,514 m (8,250ft)

Hiking distance: 5 km to 13km down

Hiking time: 12–14 hours

Habitat: Alpine Desert, Moorland, and Montane Forest

Commence early, climbing to Rhino Point and Cobra Point before reaching the summit at 4,566 m for a sunrise spectacle. Descend to Momella Gate, where your return transfer awaits. Head back to your hotel in Arusha.

Day 5

Arusha to Zanzibar | BlueBay Beach Resort

After breakfast, depart for the relevant airstrip and board a flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, transfer to BlueBay Beach Resort or a similar beachfront haven. Freshen up and relax before dinner. Overnight at BlueBay Beach Resort or similar (half-board).

Day 6

Zanzibar | BlueBay Beach Resort

Explore historic Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or take a Stone Town Tour and indulge in shopping. Return to BlueBay Beach Resort for dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Departure | Zanzibar Airport | Flight Home

After breakfast, depart for Zanzibar Airport for your flight home or connecting to Dar es Salaam Airport. Bid farewell to your guide and treasure the memories of your unforgettable adventure.
