Arrival Day 1

Arrival in Kilimanjaro Airport

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), our dedicated Let’s view Tanzania representative warmly welcomes the group. From there, participants are swiftly transferred to a comfortable hotel either in Arusha or Moshi.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park Explorationt

Duration: 5-7 hours of hiking

Rise and shine to a delightful breakfast around 7:30 AM. Your experienced safari guide will meet you at the hotel, ready to kick off your adventure. Once you’ve rendezvoused with your driver, you’ll embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park, commencing your first safari by 10:00 AM

Renowned for its diverse landscape and nine distinct vegetation zones, Tarangire National Park boasts an array of captivating sights. As you traverse the park, marvel at the ancient, majestic Baobab trees that dominate the scenery, rendering even the tallest giraffe diminutive in comparison. Your exhilarating game drive continues until late afternoon, punctuated by a delightful picnic lunch amidst nature’s splendor.

Spanning 3,000 square kilometers, the park owes its name to the Tarangire River, a lifeline that sustains a rich tapestry of wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, and zebras. With luck on your side, you may even encounter rarities such as the tree-climbing python and the long-necked Gerenuk.

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park Expedition

Prepare for an exhilarating day as you journey into the iconic Serengeti National Park, hailed as one of the world’s most celebrated wildlife sanctuaries. After indulging in a hearty breakfast, set out on your adventure towards the Serengeti, traversing vast expanses of endless grasslands.

Meaning “endless plains” in the local African tongue, the Serengeti offers a breathtaking panorama where the grasslands seem to stretch endlessly, merging seamlessly with the horizon. Encompassing a staggering land area of 14,763 square kilometers, it redefines our perception of distance.

Home to the illustrious “Big 5” – elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, lions, and leopards – the Serengeti also boasts sightings of the graceful Impala, among Africa’s most captivating creatures. Today’s exploration takes you from the central portion of the Serengeti to the northern reaches of the park. Setting out towards the Kogatende region, your route promises glimpses of resident wildlife in action.

As you traverse toward the northern Serengeti, observe the landscape transition from expansive grasslands to a more rugged, hilly terrain. The northern region unveils a diverse array of resident game, including zebras, topis, gazelles, buffaloes, leopards, and lions.

Indulge in a delightful picnic lunch amidst the breathtaking scenery during your day-long drive. Depending on your arrival time, seize the opportunity to spend a few hours by the Mara River, a prime location for wildlife sightings.

As the wildebeest surge through the turbulent waters, braving the currents and navigating past lurking crocodiles, the scene unfolds with raw intensity. Witnessing this natural phenomenon is an unforgettable experience, where nature’s course unfolds before your eyes. With luck on your side, you’ll have the opportunity to witness this awe-inspiring event firsthand.

Following the migration trail, your journey may lead you towards the pristine Lobo Valley, adorned with woodlands, plains, hills, and iconic granite kopjes. The scenic four-hour drive to the heart of the Serengeti promises glimpses of wildlife along the way. Traverse through diverse landscapes, from the rugged terrain of the Mara River valley to the lush woodlands of the Lobo area, before re-entering the iconic Seronera terrain.

Central Serengeti, specifically the Seronera area, boasts one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats, centered around the Seronera River. This vital water source attracts a plethora of wildlife, showcasing a diverse array of Serengeti species.

As you venture into the Seronera region, observe the terrain transition from hilly and broken to expansive grasslands. As the day progresses, depart from the Serengeti and set course towards the Ngorongoro Crater rim. The scenic 75 km journey takes approximately 2.5 hours, offering glimpses of wildlife along the route. En route, soak in the captivating scenery as you anticipate reaching one of Africa’s most impressive geological marvels – the Ngorongoro Crater.

Renowned as the supreme wilderness sanctuary, the Ngorongoro Crater is a testament to nature’s grandeur, boasting unparalleled biodiversity within its confines. As the sun sets on this eventful day, retreat to your chosen accommodation for a satisfying dinner and a rejuvenating night’s rest.

Day 8

Ngorongoro Crater Exploration

On the final day of your safari, prepare for an early start, commencing with a quick breakfast before embarking on an early descent at around 6:30 AM into the captivating Ngorongoro Crater. As you descend into the crater floor, immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring surroundings of the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera.

Spanning approximately 260 square kilometers with a depth exceeding 2000 feet, the crater floor offers a remarkable setting for a five-hour game drive filled with abundant animal encounters. Keep your camera at the ready to capture these unforgettable moments as you observe African elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions in their natural habitat.

Following a delightful picnic lunch at the picturesque Hippo pool, embark on a steep ascent to the crater’s top exit, marking the conclusion of your safari adventure. With approximately four hours remaining for the drive back to Arusha, reflect on the incredible experiences and cherished memories garnered throughout your journey.

By 6 PM, you will be dropped off at your preferred location in Arusha or Moshi, bidding farewell to your dedicated team with a sense of gratitude for an unforgettable safari experience.

Day 9

Departure

Take advantage of a leisurely morning at the hotel before preparing for your departure. Hotel check-out is typically at 11:00 AM. If your flight is scheduled for the evening and you require a late check-out, you have the option to extend your stay until 6:00 PM for an additional fee.

After checking out, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey, bidding farewell to Tanzania with cherished memories of your incredible safari adventure.
