Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Distance: 120 km

After a satisfying breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley, the park features low-lying hills and expansive plains adorned with acacia woodland and majestic African baobab trees. The Tarangire River and a vast swamp in the south serve as the primary water sources, drawing a diverse array of wildlife, particularly during the dry seasons.
Notably recognized for hosting the largest elephant herds in Africa, with a recorded count of approximately 6000 elephants, Tarangire National Park also shelters rare species such as the Great Kudu, Fringed-eared Oryx, and Ash starlings. Marvel at the thriving ecosystem as you explore the park’s unique landscapes.
Following an enriching day of wildlife encounters, proceed to the campsite for a delightful dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

The 7 Days Tanzania camping safari unfolds with an early morning adventure – an immersive hunting experience with the Bushmen, complete with lessons on survival skills. The Bushmen, an indigenous tribe residing in the vicinity of Lake Eyasi, consist of three clans: Hadzabe, Tindiga, and Datoga, known as “The Black Smith.”
Witness the Bushmen’s unique way of life centered around hunting and gathering eggs, fruits, and tubers, reminiscent of the Stone Age era. Following this enlightening experience, return to the camp for a wholesome breakfast before setting out for Serengeti National Park. Traverse the picturesque highlands of Karatu and along the crater rim of Ngorongoro.
En route, make a stop at the Crater viewpoint to capture stunning images of the crater floor from the rim. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit a Masai village for a cultural encounter. Masai warriors will graciously invite you into their homes, allowing you to interact with family members and inquire about their way of life. You may even join in the singing and dancing of their favorite songs, featuring impressive high jumps.
Descending into the heart of the “wild Africa,” reach Serengeti National Park with its expansive rolling plains. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Naabi Hills Gate or the kopjes (rocky outcroppings) before heading to the Central Serengeti area, known as Seronera. This region boasts rich wildlife habitats, including the Seronera River, a crucial water source attracting a diverse array of wildlife.
Embark on an afternoon game drive in search of the Great Wildebeest Migration, depending on the time of your visit. As the day winds down, proceed to the Seronera Public Campsite for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the Serengeti.

Witness the return of nocturnal predators after their night of hunting, observe lionesses organizing a morning ambush, or catch a glimpse of them enjoying their breakfast. If it coincides with the Wildebeest migration, head straight to their location and spend ample time with the herds, capturing moments of animal actions such as hunting, fighting, playing, and even killing.
Take a break for breakfast in the heart of the bush, savoring the serenity of the natural surroundings. Resume your game drive, exploring the diverse landscapes until lunchtime. Enjoy your lunch at one of the picturesque picnic sites or in the midst of the wilderness. After a rejuvenating break, set out for a sunset game drive, allowing you to witness the enchanting colors of the African sky as the day draws to a close. Return to the Seronera Public Campsite, either during or just before the sunset, for a well-deserved dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in the heart of the Serengeti.
