Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park Safari Day
After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will be picked up around 08:00 AM and begin your scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park, which is approximately 2 hours away. Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara covers 330 square kilometers, with 220 square kilometers dedicated to the water body and the remaining 110 square kilometers being land.
Lake Manyara is known for its legendary tree-climbing lions, but the park offers much more than that. As you explore, you will encounter a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, and various species of antelope. The lake itself is home to hippos and an abundance of aquatic birdlife, including geese and the vibrant flamingos that flock to the area.
During your visit, you will enjoy a packed lunch at one of the designated picnic sites within the park, giving you a chance to relax and take in the stunning views. In the afternoon, you’ll continue your game drive before being transferred to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara/Karatu to Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park Safari Day
After an early morning breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park, with a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Entering the Serengeti via the Naabi Hill Gate, you will continue with an exciting game drive en route to your lodge or tented camp.
If you’re interested in history, you can make a brief stop at Olduvai Gorge, where the Leakey family uncovered significant human fossils, including those of Australopithecus Boisei. This discovery has been pivotal in understanding human evolution, supporting the theory that humanity’s roots trace back to Africa.
Once you arrive in Serengeti, you’ll check in to Tukaone Serengeti Camp or a similar camp located in Central Serengeti. Here, you can enjoy the comforts of your accommodation before embarking on more thrilling game drives in the park.
For those wanting to experience the Great Wildebeest Migration, we can arrange a stay in Northern Serengeti, close to the Mara River. This option comes at an additional cost, but offers a unique chance to witness one of nature’s most spectacular phenomena.

Serengeti Game Drives – Wildlife Exploration
These days are dedicated to thrilling game drives across the iconic Serengeti plains, where you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich wildlife of the region. If you prefer an early start, you can opt for morning game drives, which offer the chance to witness nocturnal species as they retire from their nocturnal hunts, as well as see the diurnal animals waking up to begin their day.
The Serengeti National Park is renowned for its large herds of wildebeests, and your guide will tailor the game drive to ensure you visit the areas where the herds are located, based on the time of year. Besides wildebeests, Serengeti is home to a wide array of wildlife including topis, gazelles, zebras, hartebeests, buffaloes, elephants, and predators like leopards and cheetahs. The park is also a birdwatching haven, with over 500 recorded bird species, making it a perfect destination for birders.
After an exciting day of exploration, you will return to Tukaone Serengeti Camp for two nights of comfortable accommodation. Enjoy a full-board (FB) stay, with all meals provided, as you relax and reflect on your adventure.

Serengeti – Ngorongoro
Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
After breakfast, we depart Serengeti and drive back via the Naabi Hill Gate to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, we will descend 600 meters down the Crater wall into the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s greatest unbroken calderas, for an exciting day of game drives.
The Ngorongoro Crater is renowned for having the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa, offering a fantastic opportunity to spot the Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos) in a single day. The Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a biosphere reserve, home to a diverse range of animals such as lions, cheetahs, zebras, warthogs, silverback jackals, and more. As you explore this incredible natural wonder, enjoy the breathtaking views and fascinating wildlife sightings.
Later in the afternoon, we ascend back to the Crater rim and check in at either Rhino Lodge inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, or a nearby lodge such as Country Lodge or Marera Valley Lodge at Karatu for the night.

Ngorongoro - Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park Game Drive and Transfer to Karatu
The day begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park, the fifth largest national park in Tanzania. With a packed lunch from Arusha, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive through the vast savannah plains in search of wildlife.
Tarangire is known for its incredible diversity of animals, and today you’ll have the opportunity to spot zebras, eland, impalas, gazelles, and the elusive kudu. The park is also famous for its large herds of elephants and the stunning baobab trees that dot the landscape. Tarangire’s rich biodiversity and vast open spaces make it an exceptional place for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers alike.
After an exciting day of game drives, you’ll head to Karatu, where you’ll check in at a lodge for a relaxing evening. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge or a similar lodge in the area.

Tarangire - Back to Arusha
Final Game Drive in Tarangire and Transfer to Arusha
After a hearty breakfast at your camp/lodge in Tarangire, you’ll set off for one final game drive through the plains of Tarangire National Park, time permitting. This is your chance to capture any last glimpses of wildlife before concluding your safari experience.
Once your game drive is finished, you will be transferred back to Arusha. Depending on your plans, the safari officially ends either at your hotel in Arusha or at Arusha Domestic Airport if you are heading to Zanzibar for a beach extension.
If your international flight is from Kilimanjaro International Airport, we can arrange a transfer to the airport for your departure flight home.
