Arusha – Momella Gate 1500 m –Miriakamba Hut (2,500 m)

Duration: 3 – 5 hours of hiking.

Rise and shine to a hearty breakfast before embarking on the next leg of your Mount Meru climb. The day’s journey begins with a steep ascent through the enchanting forest zone, where diverse wildlife may grace your path. Revel in the trail’s beauty, offering captivating views of Mt. Meru Crater and the Ash Tray.
As you progress, you’ll reach Saddle Hut, situated in the alpine desert zone, just in time for a well-deserved lunch. After a satisfying meal and some rest, the option to climb Little Meru (3,820 m) is presented. This side trek promises a spectacular view of the surrounding Mount Meru area and aids in acclimatization.
Later in the day, an early dinner is served to ensure ample rest before the exhilarating midnight summit attempt. Settle in for a good night’s sleep around 19:00 hrs.
