Safari Tour Overview

Embark on an exhilarating Masai Mara Safari adventure that commences and concludes in Nairobi, utilizing premium mid-range safari lodges or tented camps situated either inside or in close proximity to the renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve. Our day tour encompasses convenient road transportation from Nairobi, accompanied by up to four private Safari game drives within the reserve. Additionally, this expedition offers optional enhancements, such as an immersive visit to a Maasai village. As a special inclusion, participants can indulge in full-day game drives on the second day of the Masai Mara itinerary at no additional cost.

Day 1

Start of your Safari from Nairobi

Your Driver-Guide will rendezvous at your hotel to kick off the safari to Masai Mara, commencing with a departure between 7:30 am and 8:00 am. Experience a scenic drive descending the Great Rift Valley en route to Kenya’s renowned game reserve, Maasai Mara, aboard a private safari vehicle. The journey, spanning 5.5 hours, includes a pause at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for a captivating moment, reveling in the breathtaking vistas of the world’s largest valley—reportedly visible from outer space.

Upon arrival at Masai Mara, relish a delightful lunch at your chosen lodge or camp. The adventure continues with an afternoon game drive at 3:30 pm, offering opportunities to spot the park’s magnificent wildlife, ranging from the Big Cats—Lion, Leopard, and Cheetah—to Rhino, Elephant, and Wildebeest. Return to your lodge by 6:30 pm, concluding the day’s exploration.

Indulge in a sumptuous dinner and enjoy an overnight stay at Keekorok Lodge. Alternatively, select from the available options, such as Sarova Mara Camp, Basecamp, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge, or similar, should Keekorok Lodge be unavailable.

Day 2

Enjoy Full day in Masai Mara

Embark on two exhilarating safari game drives, providing you with optimal wildlife viewing opportunities. The first drive takes place in the morning from 6:15 am to 9:00 am, followed by a refreshing breakfast. The second drive occurs in the late afternoon, starting at 3:30 pm and concluding at 6:30 pm. These specific times are chosen to align with periods when wildlife activity is at its peak, enhancing your chances of encountering a diverse array of animals.

Given the private nature of your Masai Mara safari, the game drive timings are flexible, catering to your individual preferences. This flexibility proves advantageous for those traveling with children or embarking on a honeymoon. Additionally, you have the option to opt for a full-day game drive, complete with a packed picnic lunch, at no extra cost.

Return in the evening to your chosen lodge for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay at Keekorok Lodge. In the event of unavailability, alternative accommodations such as Sarova Mara Camp, Basecamp, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge, or similar, are available as options.

Day 3

Return to Nairobi

Following a leisurely breakfast and check-out, embark on your return journey to Nairobi via a scenic road transfer. Enjoy a condensed morning game drive en-route, adding a final touch to your wildlife experience. Anticipate arriving in Nairobi by early afternoon, usually around 2:30 pm.

Conclude your safari adventure with a drop-off at your hotel or take advantage of a complimentary onward transfer to the airport, ensuring a seamless transition for your flight back home.

Tour Pricing Information

Rates are quoted per person, based on shared occupancy in US Dollars. The pricing structure is contingent upon the number of individuals traveling together in a single vehicle—options include rates for 2 (two people), 4, and 6 persons. Please note that seasonal surcharges may be applicable on top of the prices mentioned below.

Included in the Tour Price:

  • Accommodation as outlined in the itinerary on a Full Board* basis at the lodge.
  • Exclusive transport provided in a Safari Tour Microbus equipped with a Gameviewing roof hatch and UHF radio.
  • Three private Safari game drives throughout the tour.
  • Services of a certified Professional, English-speaking Driver-Guide, covering all associated expenses and allowances.
  • Inclusive of fuel, driver, and car park fees, as well as the driver’s allowance.
  • All Park entry fees for clients, the driver-guide, and the vehicle.
  • 24-hour Back-Up support if required.

Not Included in the Tour Price:

  • International flight tickets and visa costs.
  • Tips, drinks, laundry, calls, and all other personal expenses.
  • A Credit Card Surcharge ranging from 5 to 7% will apply, or Bank Transfer Fees of USD 50.
