Day 2

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Distance: 120 km Non-Game Driving Time: 2 to 3 hrs.

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast and then rendezvous with your safari driver guide in the lobby. Today marks the start of your adventure as you depart for Tarangire National Park, passing through Arusha town where you can handle any last-minute currency exchanges or make any necessary purchases.

Tarangire National Park, the fifth largest in Tanzania, is renowned for its captivating landscapes. The park is characterized by the Tarangire River, a thriving elephant population, and the iconic baobab trees that loom over some animal species seeking shade beneath their colossal branches.

Within the Tarangire-Lake Manyara ecosystem, a mesmerizing cycle of annual migration unfolds, featuring over 3,000 elephants, wildebeests, and zebras. Beyond the impressive elephant population, keep your eyes peeled for giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, and the rare species of Lesser and Greater Kudu, Oryx, and the Ash staling.

3: Family Activities at Lake Manyara – Lake Eyasi

Distance: Lake Manyara to Lake Eyasi – 84 km

After spending considerable time in planes and cars, today is dedicated to engaging in physical activities guided by a knowledgeable local guide. The day unfolds with a walk through Mto wa mbu Village, providing you with the opportunity to immerse yourself in various social and economic activities, educational insights, and more. A delightful local lunch will be served in the village. Alternatively, you can opt for a biking tour through the village, taking you along the shores of Lake Manyara and including a canoeing ride on the lake.

In the afternoon, embark on a scenic drive to Lake Eyasi for a deeper cultural encounter. This includes a visit to the Datoga tribe and their skilled blacksmiths. As the day progresses, consider heading to the lakeshore for a mesmerizing sunset.

Day 4

Lake Eyasi – Ngorongoro Crater

Distance: 60 km Non-Game Viewing Time: 1 to 2 hrs.

Commence your day with an early morning hunting experience alongside the Bushman, including hands-on lessons in survival skills. The Bushman, an indigenous tribe comprising the Hadzabe, Datoga, and Tindiga clans, live a lifestyle centered around hunting and gathering eggs, fruits, and tubers—a way of life reminiscent of the Stone Age.

Before noon, embark on a journey to the Ngorongoro Highlands, ascending into the Crater for a captivating game viewing experience. A packed lunch will be provided for you to enjoy on the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is hailed as one of Tanzania’s top attractions, often regarded as a natural wonder of the world. Due to the limited migration of animals in and out of the crater’s 600-meter walls, you can anticipate witnessing wildlife at an incredibly close range. En route, witness the diverse landscapes as you traverse the Ngorongoro Highlands, descending to the expansive plains of the Serengeti. Keep your eyes peeled for grazing zebra, majestic elephants, graceful giraffes, and an array of antelopes dotting the scenery.

Along the way, immerse yourself in the rich traditions of the Masai people by visiting a traditional Masai village. Masai warriors will graciously invite you, providing insights into their customary way of life. Experience their famous jumping dance, and if you feel inclined, join in the lively festivities. Venture inside their homes, meet their children, ask questions, and capture memorable moments with photographs.

Upon reaching Naabi Hill gate, the entrance to the Serengeti Park, enjoy a packed lunch either at the gate or at the Copjes (rock outcroppings) located beyond Naabi Hills gate. Full Day Game Viewing in Serengeti

Packed breakfast and lunch boxes will be on board as you set out to follow the Wildebeest Migration, should it be present in the Serengeti. Spend ample time observing these majestic creatures or explore the roads in search of the elusive cat family, strategically avoiding the morning mist. Witness the activities of other nocturnal predators returning from their night of hunting, and perhaps catch a glimpse of lionesses organizing an ambush as the rest of the animal kingdom emerges from their hiding places to commence a new day.

Take a break for breakfast in the bush, surrounded by the untamed beauty of the Serengeti. Following breakfast, continue your game drives to the location where the herds of the migration are gathered. In the afternoon, enjoy your packed lunch at the Seronera Visitor’s Center, where you can peruse interesting documentaries about the Serengeti. Beach to Stone Town

Following breakfast, we’ll transport you to Stone Town. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, you’ll explore a spice farm, touching and even tasting various spices like cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, pepper, nutmeg, vanilla, and more. The tour concludes with a sampling of tropical fruits such as jackfruit, durian, passion fruit, mangoes, and others, depending on the season.

Visit significant landmarks such as the Former Slave Market, The House of Wonders, The Old Fort, and The Palace Museum. Take a leisurely stroll along the narrow lanes of Stone Town, providing opportunities for shopping and absorbing the local atmosphere.

Later, we’ll transfer you to Zanzibar Airport for your homeward-bound flight.
