Day 1

Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park

Morning: Begin your adventure with an early morning flight from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, your safari guide will greet you, assist with your luggage, and transfer you to a 4×4 safari jeep. From Dar es Salaam, embark on a scenic 5–6 hour drive via the Dar es Salaam–Morogoro–Mbeya Highway to Mikumi National Park.

Afternoon: Arrive at Mikumi National Park early in the afternoon. After completing the park entry formalities, enjoy your first game drive straight away. You’ll have lunch at a picnic site or a restaurant on the way to Mikumi. Explore the park’s diverse landscapes, part of the Mkata Floodplain within the Greater Selous Ecosystem.

Wildlife Highlights: Spot giraffes, baboons, impalas, lions, elephants, buffaloes, and kudus, among other animals. The park is also a haven for bird enthusiasts.

Evening: After your game drive, retire to your chosen accommodation. Overnight at Camp Bastian or a budget rest house inside the park, depending on your preference.

Day 2

Mikumi to Zanzibar
